By Kees van der Geer
Toon Kelder, Jan Sluijters and Leo Gestel were well represented in the collection of the Amsterdam poulterer and car dealer. His friendships with artists, Cornelis Baard, director of the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam and collectors such as Paul Rijkens and Piet Boendermaker, placed him at the heart of the cultural life of that time. After his death, the collection was forgotten.
Author Kees van der Geer reconstructed the collection and once again gives the (top) works from his collection the attention they deserve.
